1. How did you meet?
Idris and I met at the gym. I’ll never forget that first day—he’d just finished a tough weights session, and I was fumbling with adjusting the treadmill settings, totally flustered. He smiled, walked over, and said, “Let me help you with that—no one should struggle before their workout.” That small act of kindness sparked a conversation that stretched long after we’d packed up our gym bags. We’d run into each other weekly, bonding over post-workout smoothies and shared jokes about how our legs felt after leg day. Who knew a gym crush would turn into forever?
2. Special Love song?
Then came the moment I’d been waiting for: the music started. Not just any music—Bob Marley’s “I Wanna Love You and Treat You Right,” a song that had woven itself into the fabric of our story from the start. I’ll never forget the first time Idris played it for me, months into dating, as we sat in his car after a late-night gym session, the windows down and the summer breeze carrying the melody. “This one’s for us,” he’d said, and as Bob’s warm, raspy voice sang “I wanna love you, treat you right / Every day and every night,” I knew he meant it. Idris stood at the altar, tears glistening in his eyes (he’ll deny it, but I have photos!), and as I reached him, he mouthed, “Our song,” his voice shaky with emotion. The lyrics felt like a promise hung in the air: “I wanna love you, make you feel alright / I wanna love you, morning, noon, and night.” It wasn’t just a song anymore—it was the story of us: two people who met over dumbbells and smoothies, who fell in love slowly and surely, and who now stood here, ready to build a life with a tiny, perfect baby in tow.
3. The wedding look?
My dress? It was everything I’d dreamed of and more. Classic yet sexy, with delicate lace that traced the length of my arms, soft and romantic, and a low back adorned with the same intricate lace that caught the light with every step.
4. Favorite moment of the wedding day？
If I had to pick my favorite moment of the day, it would be right after we said “I do.” The guests erupted in cheers, but for a second, it was just us—Idris and me. But to be honest, every single moment of the wedding day was dear to me—each one a sweet witness to my happiness.
