BUST

This is not your bra size. Wear an unpadded bra and relax your arms at your sides. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, under your arms and across your back. Keep it level and snug without compressing your bust.

WAIST

Bend to one side to find the crease at your natural waist. Stand upright and measure around this point, keeping the tape comfortably snug and allowing room to breathe.

HIPS

Stand straight with your feet together. Measure around the widest part of your hips and seat, keeping the tape level.

HOLLOW TO HEM

Stand up straight with bare feet together. Measure from the hollow between your collarbones down to your desired dress hem, excluding any train.

HOLLOW TO FLOOR

For a floor-length measurement, stand straight with bare feet together. Start at the hollow between your collarbones and measure straight down to the floor.

To accommodate high heels, we add an extra 5 cm to the dress length. If you plan to wear higher heels, please tell us your heel height.

Additional Measurements

Extra measurements may be needed for dresses with fitted or corseted bodices, empire waists, structured shoulders or sleeves, as well as custom lengths or slit positions. Height and heel measurements help determine floor-length hems. Please provide the measurements relevant to your chosen style when requested.

ABOVE BUST

Wrap the tape around your upper chest, just under your armpits and above the fullest part of your bust. Keep it level and comfortably snug, without pressing into your skin.

UNDER BUST

Measure around your ribcage directly below your bust, where your bra band sits. Keep the tape level and snug without tightening it.

NATURAL HEIGHT

Stand straight without shoes against a wall. Have someone measure from the top of your head to the floor.

SHOULDER TO FLOOR

Stand naturally and have someone measure from the outer tip of your shoulder straight down to the floor. State whether you measured barefoot or wearing your event shoes, and provide your heel height separately to avoid adding heel allowance twice.

SHOULDER TO SHOULDER

Measure across your back from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other. Keep your shoulders relaxed.

ARMHOLE (ARM CAGE)

With your arm relaxed, have someone loop the tape from the top of your shoulder down under your armpit and back up to the starting point. Keep it comfortably loose enough for movement. This is not the same as measuring around your upper arm.

BICEP

Measure around the widest part of your upper arm with your arm relaxed. Keep the tape comfortably snug without compressing your arm.

ARM LENGTH

For a long-sleeve dress, measure from the outer edge of your shoulder along your slightly bent arm to your wrist. For other sleeve lengths, measure to your desired sleeve end.

WRIST CIRCUMFERENCE

For a long-sleeve dress, measure around your wrist where the sleeve will end. Keep the tape snug without tightening it.

HOLLOW TO CUSTOM SLIT

Starting at the hollow between your collarbones, measure down the front of your body to the point where you want the slit to begin. Specify that this is the slit starting point, not the dress hemline.

HEEL HEIGHT

Measure vertically from the ground to the top of the heel where it meets the shoe sole. Provide this separately from your barefoot length measurements. If your shoes have a platform, include its height too.

How to Measure for a Men's Suit

Use a flexible cloth tape, wear a lightweight shirt and trousers, and stand naturally. Ask a helper to take shoulder and length measurements. Keep circumference measurements level and comfortably snug. Record every measurement in the same unit and measure twice.

1. How to Measure Upper Body Length

Lift your shirt collar. Place the start of a flexible cloth tape where the shoulder seam meets the base of your neck. Measure vertically down the front, over your stomach, to the point where you want the jacket to end. Record the exact endpoint; finger position is only a style reference.

2. How to Measure Chest

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug without compressing your chest. Stand relaxed and breathe normally.

3. How to Measure Hips

Stand with your feet together. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat, keeping it level all the way around.

4. How to Measure Waist

Wear your trousers without a belt. Measure around your body at the height where you want the trouser waistband to sit. Keep the tape comfortably snug. This position may differ from your natural waist.

5. How to Measure Shoulder Width

Ask someone to help. Start where one shoulder seam meets the sleeve and measure across your upper back to the same point on the opposite shoulder. Follow the natural shoulder curve near the base of the collar.

6. How to Measure Arms / Sleeve Length

Start where the shoulder seam meets the sleeve. Measure down the outside of your arm to your desired sleeve endpoint. If measuring to the web between the thumb and hand, clearly record that endpoint rather than assuming it is the finished jacket cuff position.

7. How to Measure Your Neck

Wrap the tape around the lower part of your neck where a shirt collar sits. Stand relaxed and adjust the tape to a comfortable fit without pulling it tight.

8. How to Measure Armhole

Ask a helper to loop the tape over the top of your shoulder and under your armpit, around the shoulder joint. Lift your arm only to position the tape, then lower it naturally. Do not confuse this measurement with biceps circumference.

9. How to Measure Biceps

Let your arm hang relaxed at your side. Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm without flexing your biceps or compressing the skin.

10. How to Measure Thighs

Measure around the fullest part of your upper thigh, just below the crotch. Keep the tape level, allowing room for one finger between your thigh and the tape.

11. How to Measure Pants Length / Outseam

Wear the shoes you plan to pair with your trousers. Place the tape at the top of the waistband on the side of your trousers. Measure down the outside of your leg to your desired hem. The top of the shoe heel can serve as a reference, depending on your preferred trouser length.

12. How to Measure Crotch / Total Rise

Close the trouser zipper or buttons. Measure from the center back waistband down between your legs and up to the center front waistband, where the belt buckle would sit. Keep the tape comfortable. This full measurement is not the same as the Front Rise listed in the trouser chart.

13. How to Measure Waistcoat Length

Lift your shirt collar. Start where the shoulder seam meets the base of your neck and measure vertically down the front, over your stomach, to your desired waistcoat hem.

14. How to Measure Coat Length

Lift your shirt collar. Measure from where the shoulder seam meets the base of your neck down the front to your desired coat hem. Possible reference points include just above the knee for a long coat, mid-thigh for a three-quarter style, or around the thumb knuckles for a short coat. These are style preferences, not fixed size standards.

Before You Order

US sizing is the default. Jacket and trouser size numbers use different scales. Confirm whether the chart for your selected suit lists body measurements or finished garment measurements before comparing your measurements or adding ease. Short, Regular, and Long describe length options, not universal height ranges. Trouser outseam and full crotch length are not included in the trouser chart. If measurements fall across different sizes, ask for sizing advice before ordering.
